Here’s the COVID tracker website:

The Outreach Committee has sent $300 to Christ Church, Corning, to be used for the flood victims in the Addison-Woodhull area. The devastation down there is overwhelming Thanks to Fr. Troy for coordinating this effort!

Home eucharistic visits will begin after the Fall opening of church on September 19.

We are pleased to announce that The Women of St. John’s will be selling a limited number of bags of pecans this year. The delivery date is in early November, but if you want to pre-order, Grace Boudway – the chair of TWoSJ – is only a phone call away – 585-394-6172.

Because Trinity Church, Geneva, is closing permanently very soon, we have sold them a block of 16 columbarium niches for their use exclusively since they can’t leave their inurned ashes behind in the building. Of those niches, 9 will be permanent replacements and 3 will be temporary holds until next summer. The remaining niches will be for future inurnments for Trinity people.  We are glad to be able to assist our sister parish with this unique need.

Interested in serving as a Vestry member? We have three terms (for three years each) opening up for 2022 and beyond. If you are interested but need more information and clarification, please speak with Debbie Cole-Wenderlich.

We will continue with one service only this Fall, BUT the time will be 10 a.m. Beginning Sunday, September 19, our main liturgy will be held at 10 a.m.  We will continue with one service through the end of 2021 and go back to two services – 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. – in January of 2022.

Bible Study will also start that day (9/19), but at 9 a.m.Mattie Bicknell, who leads the group, will be contacting those folks (although anyone is welcome to join in) and they will be meeting in the Gleaners dining room for a while.

Please submit your long and short term prayer requests to Linda Mayton and she will be certain they get where they need to be.
