The Annual Indian Dinner

First, I want to thank all those who helped out at the Indian Dinner on Saturday night and all those who came to eat and share the message of Roja Singh and the Dalit school, and to those who couldn’t come yet still donated. We raised over $1,200 to send to assist with the needs of the girls and young women whose lives are being forever changed because of education and support efforts like ours. It was a great evening, the most touching moment for me being the tender song offered by the Rev. Abi John, his wife and two beautiful children. It was inspiring. Folks coming down the buffet line included our Canon to the Ordinary, Johnnie Ross (on the left) and our own Peter Grant (on the right).

Some of the food preparation by Roja, herself. The smells coming from the kitchen all of Saturday were amazing! We believe we had a about 80 people, based on the seating availability and raised over $1,200 for the Dalit school.

Ingrid and Dissa Lagoe – two of our genuine Swedish chefs – cooking Indian, which they do at home all the time, so this was a piece of cake. The look on Dissa’s face – priceless!
