Announcements, Sunday – January 14, 2018

The Annual Meeting of St. John’s will take place next Sunday, January 28, with only one service that morning, at 10 a.m. Please sign up on the bulletin board, and bring a dish to share for the luncheon.

St. John’s Annual Authentic Indian Dinner to benefit the Dalit community in India will be Saturday, February 3, at 5:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Tickets can be purchased in the Church Office, from Debbie Cole-Wenderlich, or at the door, and are only $15 for adults, and $7 for children 12 and under. Please sign up on the bulletin board so we can know how much to cook!

Lenten Book Study: “Fear Of The Other: No Fear In Love”, by William Willimon, available on Amazon and many other locations for under $14. Please read chapter one before the first meeting. We will meet on Wednesdays during Lent: February 21, 28, March 7, and March 14, starting with a potluck supper at 6 p.m., then the book study from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. All are welcome!

Reserve your special dates to dedicate flowers and/or sanctuary candles. To dedicate flowers or the sanctuary candle, please fill out a form – they are located near the door to the Sacristy in the Reception area – and put it into the box next to the forms or in the Church Office. Dates still available to dedicate flowers are January 28, February 4 & 11. Dates still available to dedicate the sanctuary candle are January 28, February 4 & 25.

    The easiest way to find an Episcopal Church that does have an evening service is to check the diocesan website. Also, there is a service at Ferris Hills, open to all, on the second Wednesday of July and August. There will be none in June.
    Our weekly eucharists will begin again in September.
